Cross the Bridge of Deaths into 1939. Uncover the secrets of the G-AESY in this well documented historical journey with a fictional twist and a touch of the paranormal.
With the Second World War a mere two weeks away, the crash of an
in Danish waters near a bridge called Storsstromsbroen, did not get the attention it would have had today or in times of peace. While Bill is looking for psychological answers to his recurring nightmares, he meets Maggie who is very familiar with the bridge in his dreams. She urges him to look for these answers through past life regression therapy. They join forces with Catalina whose grandfather also died in the same accident that haunts Bill’s dream.

Tell us the story behind the story. What inspired you to write this novel?

I was inspired by the unusual and mysterious circumstances of my grandfather’s death.

Tell us about the book cover.

It is a photograph of Srorstromsbroen in Denmark taken by my husband Tom Egan in 1996. The incident in 1939 revolved around a plane crash near that bridge painters working on the bridge rescued the only survivor.

How does it represent your book? How did you choose the artwork?

The plane crash of the G-AESY was right by that bridge. I had the choice of photographs from the British Airways Heritage Foundation archives with the airplane being pulled out of the water. I thought the Black and white photos were too bleak and I managed to create a lovestory out of a tragic event so I wanted light and color. That bridge was the longest in Europe  and today they are trying to decide whether to tear it down, all modern trains have to slow down considerably to cross it. In 1937 the achievements in railways could not have been foreseen.

M.C.V. Egan is the pen name chosen by Maria Catalina Egan the author of The Bridge of Deaths. She was born in Mexico City, Mexico in 1959 and from an early age became obsessed with the story of her maternal Grandfather; Cesar Agustin Castillo, principally the story of how he died.
Catalina has lived in several countries and is fluent in Spanish, English, French and Swedish.
Maria Catalina Egan is married and has one son.   Although she would not call herself an Astrologer she has taken many classes and taught a few beginner classes in Astrology. This is one of her many past times when she is not writing or researching.
Peace is her ultimate passion.

I've been interested in this book since I first heard about it. Unfortunately I don't have a book budget since my son was born two and a half years ago. So I'm excited for the chance to win a copy here. It sounds like an interesting read - both suspenseful and educational - that I plan to read eventually whether I win here or not. :)

This sounds like a very interesting book! If I don't win a copy, it will certainly find its way to my TBR. Please dont forget to put it for sale with Kobo or at least at a store that Canadians can then download this to their Kobo's. The Nook format is not the same despite what others may say, but a general store like diesel etc.. Please! Although I can read Kindle books most of my friends cannot and own Kobo's or generic ereaders making book clubs difficult indeed! Much thanks! Again great sounding book!
Muchas Gracias!
