Cormac, the Kitty Norville series' most popular supporting character, stars in his first solo adventure.
Carrie Vaughn's Low Midnight spins out of the series on the wave of popularity surrounding Kitty’s most popular supporting character, Cormac Bennett, a two-minded assassin of the paranormal who specializes in killing lycanthropes. In his first solo adventure, Cormac, struggling with a foreign consciousness trapped inside him, investigates a century-old crime in a Colorado mining town which could be the key to translating a mysterious coded diary…a tome with secrets that could shatter Kitty’s world and all who inhabit it. With a framing sequence that features Kitty Norville herself, Low Midnight not only pushes the Kitty saga forward, but also illuminates Cormac’s past and lays the groundwork for Kitty's future.
My Thoughts

I almost forgot how lost I love getting in Carrie Vaughns writing. The World she has created in the Kitty Norville Series is amazing. Carrie Vaughn has a way of pulling you and and not letting go with the way she weaves a story. In this story we follow Cormac Bennett and not the kick ass heroine Kitty Norville but do not fret Cormac's Story is just as engaging as all the other books in this fantastic series. I have had a love/hate thing for Cormac since the very beginning of this epic series. Now it is more of a love thing. Just released from parole and serving his time he sets out to solve a century old crime that could very well destroy the world has Kitty knows it but he is not alone on this journey. He has Amelia's help a spirit that is inhabiting his body  as well. the banter between the two is so funny you will be laughing out loud. I know I sure did.  I am most definitely looking forward to the nest release in the Kitty Norville Series. If you love paranormal/urban fantasy with amazing character a few with a raw sense of humor look no further than the Kitty Norville Series.
