What she saw was enough to make her a liability.

Aubry Clark was thrilled with the direction her life was headed.  AC Interiors, her design business, was taking off thanks to high profile clients like Liam Lockwood and Mike Chesterfield, giving her a chance. She could practically taste the success she was about to come into and the steamy cat and mouse games between her and perpetual bachelor, Mike, didn't hurt either.

Until one day, just before sunrise, she went down to the docks to set up a photo shoot she'd dreamed up. She wanted to capture a colorful graffiti wall to use against the minimalist décor she had in mind for an upcoming project. But what she accidentally captured instead, was about to change her life forever.

The click of her camera shutter was the last untroubled sound she heard. When a muffled scream ripped through the air, Aubry turned around.

That was her first mistake.

When men dressed in black, forcefully shoved a scantily-clad girl in a shipping container and set their sights on her, Aubry ran.

Little did Aubry know, her luck was about to run out.

This was one intense and riveting read.

I fell in love with K. Larsen's writing when I first read her title the Tutor it was dark and twisted and I loved it, and she delivers yet again with the Best Friend. Her plots are intriguing and characters are always well defined. She has a certain writing style that lets you know its her.

The Tutor is where we were introduced to Aubrey the main character in this story. With that said Aubrey's story is nothing like the Tutor though it is just as engrossing and intense has the Tutor.

I really did love that the Best Friend was different from the first 2 books set in this world the Tutor and the Brother. Each story so far set in this world with these characters is different from the previous story and always just as amazing as the previous.

I found the Best Friend quite riveting and intense (that’s the best part about K Larsen’s work though she’s not afraid to torture her characters or her readers as she always keeps us on the edge of our seats anticipating yet simultaneously dreading what she has in store for us and the characters we fall in love with) and it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.

From the very beginning Aubrey and Mike’s journey gripped me from the word go and it took me and my emotions with it to the end. There was never a dull moment. Aubrey went through a lot in this book and totally held it together. Mike was so caring and protective but he had his problems too. The romance part of the book was well done even with the heat level low to mild. This story didn’t need the romance to carry it through. The plot and story itself did that all on its own the romance was just a bonus.

If you are loving the books with these characters don’t fret we are getting the Therapist and the Girl sometime in 2019 these are at least two more titles from the characters in this world.

I'm sure I'll enjoy another one of her books in the near future. I have a few just begging to be read and devoured.

K. Larsen gives good words, born in Maine, she fled the state for a short period to experience, well, anything else, but now resides there again. She writes romantic suspense and psychological romance primarily but has dabbled in most romance sub-genres. She sometimes writes with Mara White, when something viral sparks a fire between them. They've been known to wrench hearts from chests and tears directly from readers’ eyes.
