Finding your soul mate is a dream Adeline Hamilton thought was just that … a dream. After several failed relationships, she realizes she’s not capable of falling in love. The only passion she’s ever had is teaching U.S. History at the local high school.

A week before Christmas, Adeline is all set for her best friend’s wedding, even though she dreads having to go to it alone. But when she’s given a Christmas wish that could change her future forever, she’s whisked away to the past, to a completely different place and time. It’s also when she meets him, William Blair, the man who steals her heart.

As their relationship grows, Adeline realizes that true love does exist. What she doesn’t know is that her wish can’t last forever, that soon she’ll have to leave the past behind. Will Adeline and William find their way back to each other? Or will their love have to stay where it all began . . . in 1865? With mistletoe and Christmas magic, anything’s possible.

Where do you draw your inspirations from?
Everything around me, pretty much. With writing my Christmas novel, I made sure to sit in front of the Christmas tree and breathing in my pine candle. It was a must. My husband hated it because he hates the smell of pine, but he knew I needed it.

Who are your favorite authors?
Wow, this is a super long list … lol. But to name some right off the top of my head, I’d have to say: Quinn Loftis, Lara Adrian, Heidi McLaughlin, Amy Miles, Terry Spear, Jeaniene Frost, J.R. Ward, and so many others.

Was there any particular book which gave you the writing bug?
Not in a long time … lol. I can’t remember how long it’s been since I’ve had time to actually sit down and read.

Speaking of potentially “embarrassing” subjects, what’s the strangest thing you had to research for your writings?
Yikes! There is one thing I had to research but it’s REALLY not appropriate to speak out loud. All I can say is that you can read about it in A Fighter’s Desire – Part One. I’m sure you’ll know which part it is if you read it. 😊

Research aside, what’s the hardest part of being an author?
Finding the inspiration to write in an already flooded market. A few years ago, it was easier to be seen. There were maybe five to ten releases in a week and now there’s like fifty, or more.

How would you describe your writing style?
I like to write in first person, past tense with alternating POV’s. I love dialogue and showing the characters interacting. When it comes to inner monologue, I usually do the minimum. I don’t like to bore my readers to death.

Any “fun facts” about the book?
Oh, yes! In It Must’ve Been the Mistletoe, I have Adeline talking about her grandmother’s famous biscuits. Making homemade biscuits is one of my specialties so I included the recipe at the back of the book.

Have you had any odd fan encounters?
All the time! Granted, I love meeting different people, but I’ve had some readers ask some really personal questions. I might write filthy books from time to time, but I don’t exactly want to discuss MY personal life when it comes to that stuff.

Is there anything you’re currently working on now?
Not at the moment. I have no clue what I’m going to write next. There are so many books I want to write, all I have to do is figure out which one I want to do.
