“I'm dying to be beautiful.”

My story isn't unique. You've heard it before. I'm just a girl who doesn't eat as much as she should. See, I have goals, big ones, and nobody is going to stop me, not even a boy named Emmett. He has good intentions and he's hot as hell, but he doesn't understand what it's like to want something so bad that you'll do anything for it. I'm going to become a model, even if it kills me. Dream big or go home, that's what they always say, right?

Where do the ideas for your books come from?
I have this pit in my basement where the blood of the earth runs hottest.  I sort of just dig around in there for awhile until something cool pops out.  ;)  Okay, so I'm making a mere jest.  Really, I get inspiration from everything and everyone – snails, popcorn balls, red wine, Oreos … I could go on forever!

Have you ever co-written book/books? If so was it difficult? If not would you ever consider co-writing with another author?

I have not yet had the pleasure of co-writing, but there are some pseudo plans in the works that I'd best not expound upon lest I reveal the secrets that are brewing in Authorland.  =P

Where do you get your character names from?

Mostly people I know + a really great website called Mongabay that lists US census data and shows first names and last names by popularity in descending order.  That way I can find an exotic name or the girl next door pretty easily.  Plus, friends and family flip when they see themselves in print, so the two go hand and hand well.

What type of research goes into your writing?

No major research, but a vast array of little things like, “How to bake the perfect cheesecake” or “How to mount a horse bareback” (actually used the latter in my book, The House of Gray and Graves).  Let's just say, I watch A LOT of Youtube videos.

Are your family and friends supportive of your writing?

Some are, some aren't.  Oddly enough (or maybe not in this day and age), I get most of my support from my online buddies: my street team, book clubs, readers.  These are the people that really cheer me on and give a reason to keep writing.

Do you remember when your interest in writing came about?

It's always been there, since before I can even remember a coherent thought crossing through my mind.  I didn't pay it much nevermind at first, just started filling up notebook after notebook after notebook, until one day, the humdrum misery of my job caused me to buckle and throw my soul into the ring.

Other then writing what are your interest?

Cleaning up cat pee … oops.  Sorry, that's not an interest, just a full time job!  But seriously though, I love my cats, particularly when they are not peeing and instead are curled up next to me on a rainy day, a cup of Russian Caravan in one hand, and a PAPERBACK novel in the other.  Reading = life.

Did you learn anything from writing your books, if so what was it?

I've learned how to ride a motorcycle, dismantle a semi-automatic machine gun, cut fresh basil leaves, and clean tarnish off old silver.  And that's just the basic stuff.  I learn something new about myself and about my emotions and about the human psyche and the way we act the way we do every time I create a new character.  I get to learn what it's like to be somebody else, something else, and how to deal with whatever pain it is that they're going through.

What are your current WIP? Can you share with us?

Oh goodness me.  I'd love to share!  Get ready though, this list is LONG (and in no way permanent and totally subject change at the slightest provocation.)

Next up to bat:  Color Me Pretty: a tale of recovery, a happily ever after, and the success of Claire Simone, the NA sequel to my book, Paint Me Beautiful
And thennnn … Another book related to the Never say Never series.  OOPS!  Did I say that outloud?
Following those … If Losing Me, Finding You has enough readers that are interested, maybe a couple follow up books featuring Austin's friends, Beck and Gaine.  I have sequels to write for Indigo & Iris, The Feed, The House of Gray and Graves, The Seven Wicked, and A Werewolf Christmas.

In short: I have no life other than writing.  ;)

C.M. Stunich was raised under a cover of fog in the area known simply as Eureka, CA. A mysterious place, this strange, arboreal land nursed Caitlin's (yes, that's her name!) desire to write strange fiction novels about wicked monsters, magical trains, and Nemean Lions (Google it!). She currently enjoys drag queens, having too many cats, and tribal bellydance. Always a fan of the indie scene and 'sticking it to the man,' Ms. Stunich decided to take the road less traveled and forgo the traditional publishing route. You can be assured though that she received several rejections as to ensure her proper place in the world of writers before taking up a friend's offer to start a publishing company. Sarian Royal was born, and Ms. Stunich's books slowly transformed from mere baking chocolate to full blown tortes with hand sculpted fondant flowers.
C.M. is a writer obsessed with delivering the very best and scours her mind on a regular basis to select the most unusual stories for the outside world.

I do trust all of the concepts you have presented in your
post. They're really convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are too brief for newbies. May you please extend them a bit from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.
