A woman with a secret…

The Federal Paranormal Unit is an elite squad of supernaturals dedicated to solving missing persons cases. Erica’s gift allows her a special connection with the crime, but it comes at a deep personal cost… Until now, she’s kept her gift a secret, even from the other members of the team. But this case will throw her together with Agent Trent Buchanan. He’s the object of her secret desires, but he’s also a cocky womanizer. She’d rather swim in shark-infested waters with a paper cut than admit she has feelings for him. Wolf Shifter Trent wants Erica more than he’s ever wanted any woman. He’s spent years patiently waiting for her to admit that she wants him too. Working one-on-one in a race to find a serial killer, Trent’s patience and Erica’s resolve wear thin. When Trent discovers the truth about Erica, will he accept her for who she is? And can he protect her from the horrors that her gift brings?

A case that pushes them to the edge…
Erica will have to risk it all if she wants to stop the killer, and when she does, Trent may have to put his own life on the line to make sure his mate is protected…

Hi Milly and welcome to Read Between The Lines Hot Seat. I want to thank you for joining us today. We would love to learn more about you and Wolf Protector. What would you like to drink? I have a few things I would like to ask you are you ready now that the hot seat is yours for the day?

To start things off can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Wow I am not sure what you’d like to know. While I’ve been writing for a long time, I got my first book published in September of 2012. So I’m still a noob LOL.

What do you do when you are not writing? Do you have a day job as well?
I do have a day job. I work approximately 10 hr days and then go home to my family. It’s hard to write and juggle all of these at times but I think I have a good balance…most days.

When writing Wolf Protector was it strictly pure imagination or are there some aspect based on real life?
No it was all imagination. I did have a top notch attorney who helped me on the aspect of FBI information and questioning a person of interest.

Do you ever experience writer's block if so how do you overcome it?
All. The. Time. Overcome? I’m not sure I guess it’s different for everyone. Some people tell me to keep writing and it will go away. I have tried it and not always works. I think just stop stressing writing and it comes back to you.

What was your favorite part of the writing process for Wolf Protector?
I think the emotional fight the characters experienced as well as the camaraderie between the team.

After Wolf Protector do you have any other WIP for us to devour? (I love your writing)
I Also have Caged Heat which is out now and is Book 2 of the Black Meadow wolf shifters. Next will be Lucky Break under April Angel and hopefully another wolf book soon.

Do you have any rituals or writing quirks like a certain time or place?
I just need quiet. It’s easier for me to write when I have a quiet room.

Do you believe writing changes lives? If so how has your life changed since you started writing?
I’ve always written. And I do think it changes lives. A person can have a difficult life daily and writing can help that person get through the difficult days. It can be very intense.

Which authors have influenced you the most and how have they influenced you?
I know I say this often, but Mina Carter who took the time out when I first started writing to Listen. Read. Comment and Encourage me. It’s not easy for a full time author, mom, Cover Artist and busy business woman to do that, and yet she did and I am forever grateful.

How did you choose the genre you write in or did it choose you?
I think paranormal has always been my favorite. I love all things different. Wild. So it was a no brainer that it chose me to write it. LOL
